I am an equestrian. I understand the bond that you have with your horse and the countless hours you spend mucking, feeding, watering, training... everyone sees the hard work that you put in when you're in the arena, but not many people get to see the amazing connection that you have with your horse. That giddy feeling you get when they see you walking towards them, and they nicker to you. Let's show the world how much they mean to you with a customized portrait session.
Sessions with horses are typically always on location where to the horse is kept so that they remain as relaxed as possible. There are also a few public places that we could meet up at if you are comfortable hauling. After our session, the images will be culled and placed into a proof gallery for you to make your selections from.

Do you have advice on how to prepare my horse for a photo session?
A.Yes. Once your session is booked and a date is reserved, I will send you a prep guide that will give you tips and suggestions for getting both you and your horse ready for your portraits.
Do equestrian sessions include both in hand and under saddle pictures?
A.Yes, I love to include a variety of poses in your gallery.
How long do equestrian sessions typically last?
A.On average, 1-2 hours. I definitely don't put a time limit on my sessions. As long as you and your horse are comfortable, I will utilize every last bit of light I can, especially if we get a great sunset.
My location is not very scenic and I worry the pictures may not look good because of it. What do you suggest?
A.I prefer to shoot where the horse is located to keep their stress level down. I typically will look up a property on Google Earth and if we think another location would work better, arrangements can be made as long as you have your own trailer and transportation.
Do you have an assistant that comes with you, or should I make sure to have my own help?
A.I do typically try to have an assistant with me to help get ears up, set feet and capture behind the scenes content.
What is the typical turnaround time for images from our session?
A.Turnaround time is usually within two weeks. It rarely takes me that long though.
Can I pay in payments?
A.Yes, absolutely. Full payment is not due until the day of the session, so if you need to pay a little here and a little there to make it happen, I totally understand that, and we will make it work.
